| Portal Tester | From your logs. DVD genesis . viewed and stopped TVSERVER still alive. 2008-06-20 15:29:39.612000 [Info.][MPMain]: g_Player.OnStarted() E:\Video\Genesis - When in Rome\DVD 1\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO media:Video Then TSfile king kong . viewed and stopped TVSERVER still alive. 2008-06-20 15:33:27.616000 [Info.][MPMain]: g_Player.OnStarted() E:\Video\King Kong\King Kong.ts media:Video Then timeshift of channel WDR . this caused the TVSERVER and MP GUI crash. 2008-06-20 15:35:15.343000 [Info.][MPMain]: TVHome.ViewChannelAndCheck(): View channel=WDR Duisburg This is where the crash occured. 2008-06-20 15:35:17.004000 [14]: Controller: StartTimeShifting started on card:1 to E:\Timeshift\live1-0.ts.tsbuffer As to why the devs need to look at your logs. Try changing codecs for your movies and tv in settings. See if having identical codecs makes a difference. Also with DVD what navigator are you using, ?Is the DVD navigator being reused by the TVSERVER and causing a hang when the tvbuffer is started? Last edited by SciDoctor; 2008-06-20 at 15:12. |

| Codecs or DVD navigator should have any effect on the tvservice.exe stability as the server is not using either of those.

| Now I'm confused. Wasnt the issue about crashing tv service and not about the MP itself?

| After MP crashes, could you check with task manager if the tvservice.exe process is still running?
