But once I change the channel, the audio starts lagging. The more changes, the worst it lags. It seems that when I change the channel, the picture of the new channel appears first, while the audio from the old channel is still going. A split second later, the audio of the new channel comes in. I've tried every codec I have. I have selected Default DirectSound Device in MediaPortal - Setup. It does this regardless of what drive I point Mp to use for time-shifting. Any ideas how to fix this? (logs attached.) (using the latest svns for both MP and TVServer.) |

| Portal Member | Forgot to add that I have clicked off the HDHomeRun tuners in TVServer's settings, and have scanned only the analog channels with the Hauppauge WinTV 950 (which is setup as a "Hybrid" card in TVServer setup.) (The reason why have to use analog, is that I've cancelled my satellite s-ce, since I never watched it, and kept only basic cable (without a box.) For what it's worth, trying Sage, there is no lag or any other issue, so I don't think it's my codecs or system. And no, I don't really want to use Sage (way too ugly and random:-) |

| Portal Member | thanks, tomtom21000. Tried it with timeshift on, but it still lags just the same. Any chance a developer can take a look at this? As I mentioned above, it seems that when changing the channel, the picture changes first, then the audio changes after, and this accumulates and gets worse every time there is a channel change. The only way to fix it, is to stop TV, then start it. Then everything stays in sync, until I change the channel. Thanks. Last edited by MacMini; 2008-01-27 at 09:57. |

| Portal Member | O.K., with the latest SVNs, I get audio lagging a little even without changing the channel. But when I change the channel, it goes out by a few seconds! Again, when I press the channel button on the remote, there is a pause in the audio - then the video changes to the newly selected channel, but the old channel audio comes back for a second - then it changes to the new channel, and it lagging behind the video. Can anyone figure out what's going on and if there is a way to fix it? |
