Audio and Video Out of Sync

Quite a simple one, I must be missing a trick here. Audio and Video out of synce by about a half second. Can anyone suggest a strating point? Then I will fill the necessary below.

unfortunately not a simple one, it seems that sometimes MP will just do that, try pressing TV off and back on or change channels. also pause and resume sometimes help. I have had this problem at times but not often (and not a a permanent thing)

Hello,

Ifound an issue with the codecs installed. A friend pointed me towards a codec pack called k-lite, this solved the problem when I used the ffdshow codecs. I have no problem now!

I would recommend this to anyone with this problem.
