fixed "Cannot create the database" on startup - help!

I've just done an install of RC3 (I uninstalled MP / tv server first, and the SQL server as i can never remember the password i set for it).

Ive just reinstalled everything, tried running the tv server config, tested the connection (successfully) and then get the error "Cannot create the database" ...and thats as far as it gets.

I'm currently trying a complete uninstall and reboot etc of everything to try again, but does anyone know in the mean time what this could be caused by? I currently have no tv because of it Cheers!

OK, a *complete* new install gives me the same error. Anyone? Do you guys need any logs or anything? I'll have a look through some now...

I've found the error:

2008-10-25 13:28:43.734375 [SetupTv]: ********* Error reason: CREATE DATABASE failed. Some file names listed could not be created. Check related errors.
Cannot create file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\MpTvDbRC2.mdf' because it already exists. Change the file path or the file name, and retry the operation.
2008-10-25 13:28:43.734375 [SetupTv]: ********* Error code: 1802, Line: 1 *********
2008-10-25 13:28:43.734375 [SetupTv]: Exec SQL: use MpTvDbRC2

Removing this file and trying again seems to work ok - not sure if this should be a bug report or not now? If you guys need any info on this please shout

There is your issue. Delete that file, or when you uninstall SQL you delete the SQL directory from Program Files. Even Microsofts own stuff, does delete everything clean. But deleting the file should work.
