MPEG2 Audio Codec: Cyberlink PowerDVD 7.3
Satelite/CableTV Provider: Astra 19.2°E
HTPC Case: Shuttle SK83G
TV - HTPC Connection:

I am unable to get the FloppyDTV remote to work. I copied the FiresatApi.dll to the MediaPortal directory (and TvServer dir, I don't know if this is really necessary). After restarting everything, I went to MediaPortal configuration - Remote - FireDTV, I activated "User FireDTV receiver" and under Receiver: I selected "FireDTV BDA Tuner DVBS2". The FireDTV remote control application is also running.

But in MediaPortal itself, nothing happens if I try to do anything with the remote. What am I missing?

I appended the logs with "Extensive logging" enabled in the FireDTV remote options.

Sorry for asking, but what IR receiver are you using ?

The FireDTV (external box) has an IR receiver, while the FloppyDTV (at least mine) as none, and there was no remote bundled either...

Actually the FloppyDTV has an IR Receiver, but it's unusable without the FloppyDTV Extension Kit (there is a hole for the IR Receiver). The remote is bundled with the Extension Kit.

please check the following :

open the floppydtv remote programm and press buttons on your remote. If the "status" symbol goes green while pressing you do have a working remote.
To use it in MP you have to close (shut down) the FloppyDTV remote program, otherwise it will not work
