Question Can't scan for all channels

I reformatted my server today and reinstalled everything with latest SVNs...

Now i can't scan for all channels (with my FireDTV DVB-T)... Some channels are missing and is replaced with channels like with wierd names (like 384, 41A and 14E6)...

In the regular TVE2 it works fine...

What can i do? When removing and reinstalling the TVE, the configurations seem to be left? =S

---

now i found out that these channels also is on the same transponder AND that transponder takes pretty much time to scan... In TVE3, not in the 2nd

Exactly the same for the uk, has been happening for a few weeks.

Here is the thread http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mi...ux-t22055.html

and as you said the one transponder, is very slow at tuning and then only the code names is shown, can be edited with the correct name and network id.

Hopefully a fix will occur shortly, because it does seem to be affecting all DVB-T users.

Regards

As above the actual bug is very old but you don't experience it unless you need to do a fresh scan of your transponders either from a database update/refresh or a new OS/MP build.

Saving your channel data form a known good instal and importing is one way to avoid this error or to edit the affected channels for their name and network id after the new scan.

If you check your logs you may find the scan gave this for the problem frequencies/MUX.. notice channel names replaced by numbers

i Have the same problem. ( installed latest tvserver and mediaportal svn. ) i get alla unscrabled channes fine but "tv3" and "Kanal 5", And all the "Canal plus" Channels is replaced with some strange "456" "4ef" names and can not be watched.

however if i install the mediaportal 2.2.0 without the tvserver everyhing works as it should?. I get all the channels and everything vorks nicely.

Whats the difference for the TVServer?

it's some strange bug that's in the newest SVNs... I'm trying to get an old SVN, but the ones that's available for downloading is too new...

nope... if i just knew how to "recompile" an svn with the old tswriter-file, the problem would be solved temporarily... but no one has any answer about that either...

I just upgraded to the latest SVN and I get the same problem. When I try to tune to these channels it says they're scambled, but I have a viaccess card that should descramble a few of them. As Paranoid Delusion mentioned it took a lot longer for it to find the channels on that mux.
