My System

Default

Do you have idle epg grab enabled, if so try disabling this in the SETUPTV.

I've just installed RC2 on my system. It looks like Diseq1.2 is broken in Media Portal absolutely.
It does work in TVServer configuration, I can move dish and save position. The original problem "Can't scan, the card is locked" is still there.
I actually followed misterd recomendation (Thank you, misterd) and managed to scan two satellites in.
When I start MediaPortal and select a channel from the satellite the dish is currently aligned to, I have good signal and picture. When I select a channel from another satellite, I would expect to see the dish moving to it, but nothing happens, the dish remains stationary.
Did anyone else experienced the problem? Is it a bug?

Is the problem fix included in MP future plans at all?
I really enjoy the MP functionality, but when it comes to satellite TV viewing using DiseqC 1.2 motor everything falls apart. Having another satellite receiver box or using other DVB-S applications, just to move the motor, defeats the purpose and is very annoying.
Where I can see what is included in the developers plan? The roadmap provided from the main screen, doesn't have anything even remotely ressembling the problem I am having. Does it mean the DiseqC1.2 will not be supported anymore?

I have recently done an install of MP with a motorised dish using a VBOX II to convert DiSEqC 1.2 to 36V motor.
I was also having problems with the card being locked. (Using a Nova S2).

I finally managed to set up the positioning and tuning by doing the following.
Use the TVserver DiSEqC controls align the dish to the desired satellite and click the save position button.
Click OK to exit with TVserver configuration program without scanning.
Kill and restart the TVserver process
Re-open the TVserver configuration and go directly to scan. This should then scan the last satellite programmed.

Repeat the above procedure for each of the satellites required.

I think that the tuner part of the DiSEqC control is not releasing the tuner after you have finished moving and setting up positions.

I hope that this makes sense and helps.

The problem I have that even if I manage to save few satellites positions and scan them, the motor wouldn't move between satellites when I try to switch between different channels from MyTv.
I might try again using your procedure and see how it goes.

When scanning do you have the 'Create groups for each satellite' box ticked?
I do have this box ticked and have a group for each position. When moving from one group to another the motor happily moves to the next satellite position.

The problem that I have at the moment is that when I deselect channels so they are not seen from the guide, they keep coming back. ???
