Cant use Timeshifting or recording....

Ive test to put anonter thread.

MP funktions great, besides Timeshifting/recording.
When i test to enable timeshifting in MP or in MPsetup, i cant view TV, and i get an error msg Unable to "connect mpg2 pin" and after det error my TV i disabled and i cant enable it via MP interface, what i must do then is to exit MP, and go to MPsetup and "klick" " use this card for tv" and "use this card for recording" and save the config and then return to same and unchek that selection once again, then my tv funktion just fine. Untill ill test the recording or enable timeshift.

I have read all therads in the forum, but none seems to have just this problem.

I unistallad MP, and reinstall windows frech, sp, patchar and so on, but the problems still exists.

If i choose to enable timeshift i MPsetup, then i get a different error msg, some thing simmular to this "cant connect StreamBufferSink" and then i must uncheck that in MPsetup.

Hi,

I'm having a similar problem to jojjal. Media Portal 0.2.0.4 works fine until I try to record or timeshift. MP finds all the TV channels, updates the EPG from the DVB-T tuner and I can view TV. When I try to record or timeshift I get the error MPG2 pin not found. Usually I have to re-install MP to be able to view TV again. I've tried installing v0.2.1 and that can tune and find TV channels but when I try and view TV I get the error MPG2 pin not found. Reverting to MP 0.2.0.4 allows me to view TV once again.

I'm running XP SP2 with all latest patches and WMP11. I have administrator rights and the software bundled with the Tv card records fine so it's not a hardware error. I also have the latest BDA drivers installed for my Freecom device

Recording log attached showing working TV then the error.

Any advice or assistance very much appreciated.

I've now tried with Media Portal v0.2.2.0 and have the same problem. Disabling the record function on the capture device at least allows me to watch TV.

I think I may have posted into the wrong forum - if so, apologies, it was my first post. If it is in the wrong place would someone be kind enough to move it or let me know how I can move it myself.

To sumarise the problem, attempting to timeshift or record generates the error Unable to Connect to MPG 2 pin. I need to remove and restate my capture card in Setup or disable the record capability on the card to be able to watch TV again.

Any advice appreciated.
