HI all

I have been using MP and reading the forums for quite a while now although not posted until now so id first just like to say BIG thanks to the devs for such great software.

So the channel scanning problem.
I am using the TV server. I can scan for channels and I detect all that are available. However some channels only transmit in the evening and some only transmit in the morning. Therefore whenever I scan some channels are off air.
The problem is if I scan a channel when its off air I cannot tune to it although the EPG for that channel works correctly. I have found that the channels that are off air when scanned have a VideoPID and AudioPID setting of 0 (found by selecting TV channels in TV server, double clicking on the relevant channel and selecting the DVB-T tab).
I have confirmed this by rescanning for channels when the releveant channel is on air - The channel will then work and the VIdeoPID and AudioPID have a value other than 0 (e.g. 301 & 302).

I have scanned the channels in the evening and recorded the PID values for the affected channels. I then re-run the channels in the morning which sets the PID values of the (evening only) channels to 0. I then manually enter the PID values that I have recorded. However I still cannot tune to the affected evening channels. There is obviusly something I am not understanding about the channel tuning parameters and the wiki for the TV server is not very complete

The only other way I can think to resolve the problem is to rescan the channels but to prevent the affected channels from updating but i dont know how to do this either

Has anybody got any suggestions of how to get around this.

Thanks in advance
