Hi all,

I have set up my MediaPortal-PC quite fine now, but there are still some issues. I have two Cards: DVB-S and DVB-C. They have many channels in common (ProSieben, Sat. 1, ...). So I want to combine them in the TV-Server. THis works only if the names are not exactly the same.

Example 1: Sat: "Sat. 1", Cable: "Sat 1" (missing point). I can combine the channels with the TVServer and when I am recording something on Sat I can change to this channel on cable.

Example 2: Sat: "ProSieben", Cable: "ProSieben" (the same). I cannot combine the channels with TVServer and cannot switch to this channel when I have an ongoing record.

You also see a difference on these screenshots:

Sat. 1 works properly, ProSieben says it is DVB-C and DVB-S - but it is only mapped to one provider and has only details for cable.

When I want to combine Sat ProSieben I get no link to the cable one or vise versa. Only if the names are a little different.

Does somebody know how I can address this problem? It would be nice to use 2 tuners silmuntaniously with all channels the cards can offer.

Thanks in advance,
zeebee

Default

Ok, solved it myself after quite a while.

1. Only scan for SAT and export channels
2. Delete all channels
3. Only scan for cable and import sat-only-channels
4. There comes a warning about duplicates I just ignore
5. Channels with same name are now properly assigned to sat-freq and cable-freq
6. Combine channels with different name manually
7. I can even start the tv-service with a cable channel, previously I couldnt switch to sat if started with cable. Works now fine :-)

Cheers
