i just managed to set up the latest SVN Releases of both the server and the client stuff on the same pc. I unfortunately don't find any channels when scanning for them on the server. The mediaportal itself even was unable to find this card. only the tvengine wa able to detect this card, but no founf channels during scanning. Manual entry of the channels was also unsuccesfull. i get an error when i try to view them in MP itself. as i am running the SVN Version of both the Server and the MP itself, i can't determine if the server or MP is the problem. that is why i posted this in the general support forum. i am unable to get ANY channel to display. also, after i install the MyTV plugin, i don't get the question in MP itself asking for the server adress. i do get the channel list that i manually have put in the server and attached to my tv card, but on play i get the error: "Unknown error occured"

Please help me get my tv card working as many other software was also unable to correctly get my channels. the best i had so far was 3 channels with Hypermedia Center.

Once more. please excuse me for posting in the wrong section, as i don't know where the problem is (Engine or MP) i posted it here.

according to the tvserver log its not finding any encoder or multiplexer filters to add to the graph for the card. im pretty sure you cant get video/audio without those.

Preview Failed: Unknown Error
Then opens a preview window without the preview itself.

i don't believe that is the problem, because in Hypermedia Center, i have my tv working, but i have to enter all frequencies by hand and not by typing them in, but by adding a channel, then i can browse a maximum of 5 MHz forward or backwards, saving and adding another channel. The newly added channel has a starting point of the set frequency from the last channel. with this new channel, i again have a frequency range of plus or minus 5MHz. this has taken me around 2 hours to setup and it doesn't even save them. each time i use the software (Hypermedia) i have to set all channels again. they also haven't got ANY support. my last inquiry was sent more then 2 weeks ago and still no response. they never respond. so that is why i NEED to get this working.

That does not sound in anyway correct, because the general rule is if it will not work correctly in its own manufacturers software, chances are it will not work correctly in MP.

I would uninstall all TV related software and delete there installation folders, uninstall the card in Device manager, make sure you have latest correct drivers\software from Welcome to KWorld, then reboot system.
Install drivers and software.

Now see if it works correctly.

The correct name for your TV card would help finding out if there are known issues with it.

The only correct name i can find is from the manufacturer (Zolid), but the philips stuff is the name as it is in de dev.mgr.
i uninstalled and reinstalled the card and software several times, but without any success of getting the save channel to work in the Hypermedia Software.

How can you get latest driver, without knowing the cards name, as these do not come with The software, i take it this is the Digital\analogue hybrid pci card you have.

PlusTV Hybrid PCI

So i take it you are using those drivers with the Hypermedia software, if not can you point us to where you got them from.

Thanks

OK just tested the hypermedia software, you will need to have it installed even if you use MP, because the filters you need are there (but you would need to disable the scheduling agent).

Still concerned the TV wizard and scan feature does not work correctly in their software though.

Getting your 'Software Encoding' card to be supported!

You will need to follow the post above to add card to the inbuilt TV, if just leaving the hypermedia software installed does not work, as do not use analogue i know of no way to point TVE3 to these encoders, but someone might.

I think im working on the same issue as you with my Plextor TV402U. From reading the TVServer.log you posted, I think it is a bug in the TVServer.dll and not something you can fix easily. Im try to change some code and recompile a new dll myself to see if i can get my Plextor working. The TVServer does not load an encoder or multiplexer for my card either. I think the channel scanning is something wrong in the TsWriter.dll, not sure though. You should try an older version of the TsWriter.dll to see if you can get the channel scanning working. But, you still wont be able to watch video with TVServer, b/c it builds its own video filter graphs. Thats why your other program works, but TVServer3 doesnt. The only cards that i know dont have any problems are hardware encoder TV cards.
