Hi All,
I have recently finished building my MC, installed MP, got the digital TV working and loooks great. everything has been setup except for the analog capture. I read that the TV server addition was going to support SW encoding so I installed the required software as discribed in the wiki and the video tutorials. No problems during installation

Problem is that I want to view my AUSTAR/PayTV through MP. I can hear the sound but everytime it comes up with "No Video/Audio detected" problem I have the COMPRO software working and WINDVR wotking also. These have not issues in seeing thr analog input signal and capturing it....

Any info is greatly appreciated....

I had mixed results with the analog side of the t300. In the upstairs PC (the one I want to run it on) I get the Ünable to create graph"message when installing the analog side of the card. Downstairs when I plug it into that PC it works perfectly.
As far as I know they both have the same driver version. Downstairs is MCE, but that shouldn't make a difference.

I can get the the graph to work by using the VMR9 video renderer on the graphedit program, but I can't replicate that in the TV-Server setup. even using the exclusive mode. still nothing.

I have attached a picture of the result that us displayed plus the tv.log file if this can help....

Thanks for the response.......Must admit though that MP is the greatest bit of software I have........... even if I can't get this to work.........

Exclamation given up!

just to let everyone know I have re-formated and re-installed everything . I have chosen to run with MP 0.2.2.0 version and will leave the analog part alone (TV Server) until it is fixed.
I have lost countless hours trying to get it to work but to nothing gained.

Does anyone know of a good Hardware encoding capture card that can be used with MP?

the huappage pvr 150 series is a good card. the added benefit is that most of the devs use them, so they are well supported.
the down side is that i hear their drivers are a pain.
if you are looking for a victorian supplier, check out www.cpl.net.au.

, I am in NSW so I will check this card out. my system has been running now for a week with no major issues to speak of. I will check further into this card but i just wanted to stay clear of any software encoders fro an analog input. thus MP should have relatively no major issues with it.

Thats my thoughts...

Whats your main machine for TV/movies. MP of MCE?
