Connected to the server,
Connecting the database failed.

Streaming a video to vlc mediaplayer works, I think it is in SQL, what can i do about it?

Do you use mySQL or MSSQL as your database? MSSQL has no network support enabled by default but the clients needs to connect to the database via network (as of my understanding). I can't tell you how to enable network support in MSSQL as I use mySQL. Maybe you could give it a try...

It might as well be a firewall issue.

I Use MSSQL, i thought the manual on this site was enough to enable the network support, but i will give it another try. Firewall is not running on any of my machine's except my router

I had to set the port to TCP 1433 to get it to connect to SQL. Try This and see if that helps.
