After installation and running setuptv.exe i get the following error message:
Connection failed!Host 'MYPC.mydomain.lan' is not allowed to connect to this server

I installed on my server "mediaportal svn, tv-engine3 svn, dotnet 2.0, wamp (apache, mysql and php).

Connecting on localhost does work. It gives me "connection succeeded" but when i klick on save. I get the error. "Please specify the hostname or ipaddress for the server. not localhost."

I'm not running any firewalls. Mysql does work with apache and php.

I tried to connect on netbios and ip-address. Both they don't work.

See atachments.

I think it's a mysql configuration issue. But i'm no expert in mysql. I installed it for my websites. It came with wamp. Maybe someone here, knowes the sollution?

Hi,

did phpMyAdmin come with the WAMP package you installed? If so, you can go into the Privileges section of phpMyAdmin and check the Host column for the user you're trying to connect with. You can find the Privileges section on the homepage of phpMyAdmin. If only localhost is enabled as a valid host for the account you want to connect with, you can edit the User using the edit icon on the right and then change the host. This will create a copy of the user you're editing with the host you specified.

Greetings

Jonas
