Yip, only beta.
However, you will find many feedback posts on this forum reporting that the current beta release is very stable. I think it will depend on your hardware and codec setup.

For me, it is very stable and I can fully trust it to do the job. Quality wise, there is still a small small degrading in quality when viewing TV through my HTPC compared to the direct TV connection.

Which version of TV Server and MediaPortal you are using please?
I tried many versions, none of them working more than 30 minutes.

I am using Skystar2 for sat tv.

I am using MP 0.2.3 with SVN of 2007-12-20 with TV Server of 2007-12-20.
Your instability problems can maybe be related to drivers, hardware or codecs.
I would suggest the following. Maybe one of the experts can help you.

1. Start the MPTestTool2.exe in your MP installation directory
2. Do Step 1 in the test tool
3. Do Step 2 in the test tool
4. Let it run until you experience the problems
5. Close MP (end task - if it hangs)
6. The testtool will automatically do Step 3
7. Attach the generated zip file here and explain your steps AND the problem. And your fulls system specs.
