Default Does the DVB-S EPG Grabber respect all my settings?

Hi,

just a short question: after a complete new installation of TV Server 3 I removed lotsa channels that I don't need from the channel list. Then, I activated only a few channels (by ticking the box) in the EPG grabber dialogue. However, In "MyTV" in the program guide, there are still tons of channels that I had not activated in the EPG. Plus: in the epg-log, the grabber still grabs epg for many channels that I had not actvated. How can that be? Is it intended to have channels in the EPG-guide in MyTV although I excluded them from grabbing?

Depending on the provider, the EPG data for all channels flows over 1 channel on the transponder and if you view a channel on that transponder you will get all the channel data from that provider. I believe the TVE3 description for that box should read "Select channel to grab EPG from." instead of "for". It's a bit misleading, imo.

Thank you for the explanation. Even if I get EPG for channels that I do not need (by the transponder), I would prefer that in the "TVguide" list in the "MYTV" GUI there would only appear channels that I had selected in the EPG grabbing setting on the TV server. Maybe this is the case already and only in my installation there is something wrong.
