Country: | Hi All I have an issue in getting analog working.. I have as per recommended document installed the WinDVR Encoder but when i do and i try to scan analog channels it crashes the system ( Blue screen and reboots).. I have tried to get the Mainconcept encoder to work but MP doesnt see it when installed. I also tried to get the Cyberlink on installed which comes with my card but it also is not recognised.. I am using Vista 32 and a Nvidia 8600gs card.. Does anyone know of a solution to get the encoders to work.. |

Country: | Hi There Thanks for the reply.. Yes i installed the complete package and did a full scan test within the WinDVR and ll worked from there.. I have also tried a couple of other packages that do the analog and they work as well.. I installed the Mainconcept encoder and did a scan within that and it also worked but MP dont see that encoder to try it.. |

Country: | Hi Snoopy, Disable EVR or VMR9 exclusive mode if you have either one of them enabled. These are the only two areas that could ever cause a blue screen that i know of. A system can't be bluescreened from an application that I know of, only when that application tries to ask the hardware to do something that drivers have implemented incorrectly. I would try updating your nvidia drivers. |

Country: | HI Diehard2 Thanks for the reply.. I double checked and habe the latest Nvidia drivers 169.25 and all MS hotfixes. I have turned off any reference to VRM9 and still get the crash.. The crash only happens once the WinDVR package is installed and scan for analog channels. Last edited by Snoopy08; 2008-03-08 at 01:10. Reason: update |

Country: | HI Diehard2 Why dont MP see any other Encoders like the ones suggested ??? I cant see what the hell is wrong with the WINDVR and my system, however windvr itself sees all analog channels without error.. I have enven installed the Cyberlink powercinema and it sees all channels perfect... Is there something i can do to find the issue ?? |
