Well I checked the networkcard and it seems to work fine, to be sure I disabled all the powersaving features on it, but it didn't seem to solve the problem. Anymore suggestions?

Hi tjvdberg

Have you tried the delay settings in TVServer\general, have had people using 20 - 60 secs delay before things have resumed properly.

Check your codecs are fine with Filmerit.
Upload Logs\Pictures etc, use the "Go Advanced" and select the + feature to upload\attach files.

Hi tjvdberg

I have the same issue as long as the "EPG idle grabber" is active. Please try to disable the feature. Is there any difference between hibernate and standby?

Hi,
Difference between hibernate (S4) and standby (s3) are basically:
- S4 moude put everything needed to wake up the PC in the hard drive and then consume minimum energy when hibernating. The wake is a little bit slower than S3 mode.
- S3 mode put everything needed to wake up the PC and restore everything in the RAM. The wake is faster than in S4 mode but in case of power failure everything in the memory is lost and so the PC can not wake up correctly.

Okay an update, I first played with the delay setting, apart from the occasional "connection to the tv server was lost" it didn't help. I disabled the webepg updater, that didn’t fix the errors. I don't use hibernate and the option isn't available in start menu so I didn’t test that yet. The behavior of the errors did change somewhat with the suggest settings of wepepg and start delay. Now the first time after standby i get unknown error if I turn on the tv, but after I change the channel it works, if I put the pc in and out of standby after the second time (once the 3th time) that won’t work and i get unknown error the entire time. If i restart the tv server everything seems to work normally.
Sorry for the long time between posts, I’m currently really busy. Thanks for the help so far.

Please look at this post: Migration from AMD 690G to 780G
Solved all my hibernate problems in mediaportal works with RC2 (didn't install any SVN builds).
Hibernate must be set in the register, before you use it, but you probably know that.

fixed

I think i fixed it All the settings everybody gave were correct, the problem was the EVR renderer + maybe the Ati Hybrid crossfire or some combination of those 2. When I changed to vmr9, and disabled crossfire it worked. I haven't tested it extensively, but so far so good.
My logs may help with the bug tracing of VMR rendering problems, do I need to send them to a special place?
Thanks everyone, for your help.
