When i try and change channels on teh client the screen basically hangs, and the image is frozen onscreen with no sound or movement, if i look on the server machine the Server has actually changed to the new station, so it seems everything is fine on the server side but the client seems to be a constant problem, anyone else experience this issue? |

Country: | yup - same bug here with all 3 dvb-s cards I own ![]() I guess connecting with VLC you'll see the server is already streaming the new channel correctly? Try disabling "TV on", wait a few seconds and activate it again - does it show the new channel then? |

Country: | my problem seems to be for any channels, i had assumed it was my low signal strength but i have fixed that up a bit now , so i think its something else, i actually find that if i change the channel on say the tv section down the bottom it says the new channel name but the video is frozen , if i then say exit to say the main menu and stop the video , then re-enter the tv section it works on the new channel, so its like it can't connect to the stream after the channel change or something |

Country: | System 1: TV Server (23/12) x 1, MP Client (ASUS MB,3200+ CPU, 1Gig,Gigabyte 6600 DVB-T Fusion Dual Digital, XP Sp2) System 2: MP Client (2.2.0) + TV Server Plugin (23/12) (Gigabyte MB,3000+ CPU, 1Gig,Gigabyte Readon 9600, XP Sp2) System 3: MP Client (2.2.0) + TV Server Plugin (23/12) (ASUS MB,4200+ CPU, 1Gig,ASUS 7600, XP Sp2) Having the same issue described above (as of the 25th Dec, 2006), this problem occurs on both (client only; system 2, system 3) installations of Media Portal. Interstingly this is not a problem with (system1) where The TV Server and Client are installed on the same box. (Although changing channels is cumbersome, with occasional freezes). Not sure if this has been raised in Mantis as a bug... Will upload log files after work today... |

Country: | i have been playing with the channel changes , and i found an interesting solution for me, to some up the problem when changing channels it freezes on the client but works fine on the server, i have found if you are watching a channel and you zap back say a few seconds or to the start, and watch it for a bit, then zap back to the end of the station you are watching and continue to watch live tv , then try and change stations it actually changes without crashing and the channel change time is maybe 2-3 seconds which is quite alright, i was wondering if anyone else having this same problem could try that and see if it helps as well? |
