Your suggested work around works for me as well, although I'm sure my better half wouldn't be so happy with having to do that everytime she wanted to change a channel....

Hopefully this issue will be fixed in upcoming releases...

Works much better for me too in latest SVN. But the same issue that stream hangs. My workaround is turn TV on/off in TVHome.
However I have a crash every other hour. That produce an error on tvserver. Will post a new tread with logs.

wondering if everyone else is experiencing this still, this is the on main problem i'm still experiencing even with todays svn

I deleted the SQL datafiles for some weeks ago and reinstalled tv server - everything got much better.

hmm, kalon do you mind telling me how to delete the datafiles?

just delete:
TvLibrary.mdf
TvLibrary_log.LDF

you should find them in:
Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data

Then TVServer will create new emty ones and you need to do a new scan/setup .
