Country: | i didnīt solve the issue, but i got everything i wanted to work by going back to the old tvengine(only installed mp 0.2.2.0 , no svnīs). but i stumbled upon something: because when i installed mediaportal i got a blank tv screen, till i figured out that you have to turn it on manually. i donīt know if you have to "turn on tv" in mediaportal with tvserver 0.3, but if you have to everything couldīve worked all along(i was just too dumb to figure it out). maybe iīll try again, but for now everything runs very stable and fast with 0.2.2.0. |

Country: | I found a workaround, don't configure your card as a hybrid, then at least the dvb-t part works! (for me anyway, in preview only sound but in MP super!) |

| MP Donator ![]() | Interesting I think there must be some problem with the hybrid card support. I have one hybrid (dvb-t/analogue) and one dvb-t card. When I had the hybrid in a group if the dvb-t card was in use recording then I got the "unknown channel" error. Taking the cards out of the group fixed the problem and allowed the "other" dvb-t tuner to be used.... |

Country: | got it all to work now too, thanks to your hints: installed mp 0.2.2.0, latest svn, tvengine 0.3 this time i didnīt declare the 2 cards as hybrids but only configured the dvbs tuner on the hvr4000 and the dvbt tuner on the avermedia. then i deactivated all other tuners for both cards. |

Country: | I had similar problems with a hybrid HVR-1300 and resolved the "Unknown channel" error by removing the DVB-T part from the hybrid group... ...but now I'm wondering, which are the drawback of this "workaround"? I do not use the analog part often, will this prevent me from using it at all? |

Country: | I, too, have the same problem: mp 0.2.2.0, latest svn, tvengine 0.3 and Hauppauge HVR-4000. I'm not interested in the analog tuner much, so I disabled it and created a group where I declared the DVB-S and DVB-T tuners as Hybrid. Then I successfully searched all available channels on both tuners, but when I select any channel on both tuners I get the 'Unknown channel' error. If I remove the hybrid group, leave the tuners separate as they were found and re-scan for channels all is fine, but if I watch a DVB-T channel and then want to watch a DVB-S channel, the 'Unable to start timeshift' and/or 'Unknown error' messages appear. The same if watching a DVB-S channel and trying to watch a DVB-T channel. Are there any workaround for these problem, or is it just a matter of drivers? I cannot post the log files since I'm away from the PC, will give it a try later this evening. |
