Country: | I've seen several people with various hardware-encoding analog TV-capture cards have the same problem: the card is detected, but scanning for channels results in no channels found. In all of these cases, the card works fine in MP 0.2.2.0, and has been removed from the config there. Some of the cards:
That seems to be at least 3 different chipsets... Is there any word on that these cards ought to be supported? Going through the forums I can only find references to DVB cards and software encoding analog cards... Would be great if someone can tell more. Last edited by pbb; 2007-03-01 at 23:49. Reason: and even more cards... |

| Thanx! for your input. I did read the supported TV card list and I did see that the Nvidia Dual TV is supported. It does work quite well with MP 2.2.0 but the issue is getting it to work with the TV server. Is it supported to work the TV server or just the old engine? I see here http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/TV-Engine_0.3/faq that analog cards are supported for the TV server but it doesn't list any specific models. If the Nvidia Dual TV card is supported to work with the TV server can someone PLEASE tell me how to get it to find channels???? |

Country: | FlipGer, that page is the compatibility with MP 0.2.2.0, not the compatibility for TV Server 0.3. Like said before, all cards work fine in MP, but not with the TV Server... |

Country: | Okay, interesting, so it is clearly not all hw-encoding analog cards that fail... Anybody with any of the cards mentioned on top that work in TV-Server 0.3 ? |

Country: | If I am not mistaken, the Hauppauge PVR250, PVR500 and Winfast PVR2000 all have the Conexant CX23416 chipset. Any other chipsets supported by TV Server 0.3 ? |

Country: | Hi, sorry did not read your post properly. But as said, analog hardware encoding cards work with TV3. My PVR 150 / 350 do. The TV sever has a new technology, it should detect all cards automatically. Therefore there is no special list of all supported cards. Also please remember TV3 is BETA, which means there is no full documentation there, yet. If those cards do not work properly, please report it with full logs and hardware specs in the development forums. The team simply can not have and test all cards. ![]() http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/tv...e_0_3-f88.html Flip. |
