Default Hauppauge remote

Ive been using media portal for a while now on an old box which I decided it was time to upgrade.
I am trying to setup the 45 button Hauppauge remote which doesnt want to work right. After a major battle disabling vista's MCE, which the remote works fine in I have the 4 arrow buttons working thats it.
The remote is enabled in the config and its been driving me mad all weekend.
The remote driver version is 3.11.26108.0 and i have the latest version of IR32
Any help would be appreciated

Same problem here, no solution though. Remote works excellent in Windows Media Center and worked fine using Windows XP. Seems to be a Vista (x64?) related issue.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess it would be possible to manually map the remote buttons, I think it is possible to do this through Media Portal but I can't figure out how it works. It is not available in the manual either so the question is if anyone knows how to do it?

Tried using the IR Server Suite but found it quite complicated. After reading the documentation i decided to try mapping the buttons from the media portal control plugin but could not get it to work it does simply not react. Is there anything else i have to do before trying to map the buttons to the correct functions? Or have i misunderstood the complete suite?
