Hi,
I had a perfectly configured Media Portal system (2.3.0) with my analogue cable card set up and WebEPG running smoothly. I installed the RC1 of Media Portal 1 with the TV Server and after searching for channels, I don't understand how I should get them into WebEPG to match the channels with the guide. WebEPG shows up just empty and choosing between Media Portal or TV Server as source in WebEPG makes no difference. In the TV Server Config the channels are set up and I can see them in My TV in Media Portal. But not in WebEPG. Anyone knows what might be wrong? All help are really appreciated. |

If the Channel names are the same, Use the export function in built in MyTV, Then try importing into WebEPG check the names are a exact match for those in TVServerconfig\channels.
In TVServer config\plugins, xmltv has to be enabled, once done you need to point it to the xmltv folder within program files\team-mediaportal\mediaportal, on the second page of the plugin you need to refresh the channel list, correct any not found matched stations and save. now once webepg has run, you should be able to import within the xmltv plugin.

I just fixed the support for the TV Server.
It will now import the channels from the database. Try the attached file and test if that fixes the problem. /James |

Thanks James, I had the same problem as swedan and it was doing my head in. I couldn't find the solution in the wiki or anywhere else I was reading. Using the TVServer in RC1 was completely new for me

The import of TV server channels works fine now! Thanks for that.
I have another question. I am watching TV (MP) via DVB-T but the program guide is only 2 days max. So I was wondering if I could use WebEPG. I tried to set up the WebEPG-conf.exe and start WebEPG.exe after that it all works fine. And when I try to import and map this with XMLTV I get all green signs, and I do save. But when I look in the guide in MP it has "lost" several channels which were mapped before succesfully. Like RTL 4, 5 and 8 have the same program information as RTL 7 does. And Nederland 3 doesn't have any program information at all. (nederland 1 and 2 are just fine and retrieves information from the same website?!?) I just followed the wiki page plus tips from this forum. Version used: MP 1.0.0.0 RC1 and tv server 1.0 RC1 + SVN What am I doing wrong? I have no experience what so ever in programming XML. I am a noob.... Best regards, Marcel Last edited by MdFolter : 2008-05-07 at 21:54. |
