| Portal Member | You're using multiseat setup right? It seems that database connection fails and that's why you can't record. Check out that your SQL Server configuration is correct for multiseat: TV-Server/Configuration/SQL-Server - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation (especially "Remote Connections") |

| Portal Member | Hi seco If "multiseat" is access to TV-server from other PC's then - I dont use "multiseat" setup (the TV-server & MP are on the same PC), I will look in to the manual in any case. One more - The TV-server is not able to preview a channel - I get windows error: "this application need to be closed ..." - is this relevant? Thx for the help |

Country: | Your logs show you cannot access the TVLibrary database, but this may be a firewall problem, especially if you have it disabled. TV-Server/troubleshooting-Database - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation May help.

Are you running on a full admin account, or just as a user, may be a permissions thing why it cannot write info to the recording folder, make sure ts is chosen as format to record to (TVServer config\general\recording).
