However, this weekend (see SVN numbers above) I found that TV channel tuning requests are often taking about 7 seconds and often time out.. I looked at the logs and there are now a number of PMT errors which I believe are causing the timeouts.. Has the code for processing PMTs changed lately? There may be a problem with Aussie transmissions. I haven't updated my dvb-t and dvb-s card drivers in months.. but last time I looked they're all on the latest and stable versions.. I only noticed this problem after upgrading from TVServer build 17685 to 18105. Note I haven't tried the new installer builds as yet. Cheers erosco Stupid me.. forgot the logs.. here they are.. ![]() Last edited by erosco; 2008-03-25 at 08:28. |

Country: | TV-Server Version: SVN 18341 MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3.0 + SVN 18341 MediaPortal Skin: bluetwo wide Windows Version: XP Pro SP2, dvbfix CPU Type: C2D, E6750 HDD: Samsung HD501LJ Motherboard: GA-P35-DS3P Video Card: Gigabyte HD 2600 XT Video Card Driver: Catalyst 8.3 1. TV Card: Technotrend S2-3200 1. TV Card Type: DVB-S2 1. TV Card Driver: 5.0.0.12 MPEG2 Video Codec: DScaler MPEG2 Audio Codec: DScaler Satelite/CableTV Provider: Astra I can confirm this, got exactly the same issue here. Starting TV takes about 15 seconds but the first channel works. When trying to change the channel I get after 15seconds the following error message (gilt translation: "Cant start Timeshift No Audio/Video detected") I get some strange lines in the logs: Code: Set descriptor data with length 3 PROBLEM : descriptor lengths dont match 7 10 TechnoTrend IsCamReady(): IsCamPresent:True, IsCamReady:False First time I recognized this issue was after upgrading to SVN from 21-03-08. I made a clean install (uninstalling tvserver, client, delete db ...) thanks in advance Last edited by gefluegelsch; 2008-04-01 at 19:25. |

keep in mind that you need to update both component, MP and TV3, to the same svn. Simone

Country: | gefluegelsch There have been a few posts about tuning problems with technotrends, mostly they seem to point back at using the last of the 4xxx drivers cured the problems. Might be worth a try

Country: | It's definitively no driver problem. The strange thing is, when I install the latest SVN it works till reboot...I'm on the verge of reformat and reinstall edit: After reboot I tried Stop Service -> Start Service in tv server config it works but this can't be the way of watching tv...
