Default MPEG codec selection ignored?

Just installed RC1 (with TvServer) and I'm trying to select ffdshow as the MPEG-2 video decoder (MediaPortal config > Television), but it seems this setting is ignored.
I vaguely remember this being the case way back as well, is it still not supported?

Alright, se attached.

I can see "2008-04-18 23:40:17.492852 [Info.][MPMain]: failed filter:ffdshow Video Decoder not found", but I don't know why. I have no issues with ffdshow in any other application. Maybe reinstall ffdshow?

Thanks.

EDIT: Using ffdshow_rev1920_20080328_clsid_sse_icl10 and I've set MPEG1 and MPEG2 to libavcodec.

Hi,
Yup ffdshow failes to add to graph, same goes for "failed filter:MediaPortal DVBSub2 not found", was this a clean install with no old files used?

Regards
Roy

Yes, completely clean. I made sure nothing was left under Program Files or Program Data (using Vista x86 SP1).

I got graphedit to work on remote graphs now and I see it uses the MPV decoder instead.

I will try to fiddle with reinstalling different parts and see how it works out. At least now I know that it should support using ffdshow.

Thanks.

Well something is off, I can't get it to work. I don't know if others have issues on Vista with it, but I've done a clean installation (tried even a manual one not to include MPV), but it refuses to use ffdshow (with the same errors as above). FireDTV viewer and DVBViewer can use ffdshow without problems.

I'll let this one be for now and try at a later time, or I'll end up wasting another weekend...
