I have been watching MP for quit a while now but just deceided to go ahead and try and move over My configuration is quite simple with MP+SVN +TV3 on my HTPC and one Networked client PC with MP+SVN+TV3 Client. The installation and configuration went quite well and almost trouble free. A few minor issues with Hebrew EPG but I was able to work around them but unfortunately I'm left with two open issues that I can't solve. If I set a recording from EPG or start recording manually all looks fine. But no video file is saved to disk. I have the Recoding XML file in the correct folder but no video file. In the recordings playback und MY TV I have the entry of the recording but it will not play (there is no file.) Why is no file being created I have tried both .ts and .mpg and the same result. I must have missed something. Live (Timeshifting) works well and I’m able to view pause play no problems The second problem if I understand correctly is common; the client PC is not able to play a stream without stuttering .I have tried different codecs but they all have the same result. Any ideas are welcome. Jonxm Thanks for tha graet software |

Country: | I did a bit of testing and believe I have found the cause of the problem which in my humble opinion is possibly a bug. The system fails to write a file with filename in Hebrew. By manually editing my tvguide.xml I reloaded the EPG with a number of programs renamed with English titles. I then set two of them to record. I also set one Hebrew title to record The Hebrew title failed but the English ones recoded perfectly. An infesting fact is that the Hebrew titles manage to create both the directory and the XML file just not the mpg or the ts file |

| Portal Tester | Hi, I'm going to add this to Mantis (can't reproduce it my self), so that would be fine if you did. First enable debug mode in MP Setup -> General -> & "Log Level" to debug. Then schedule a program "& of course it will fail" , but zip all files for both server & mediaportal (even .bak files) & attach it to your post.Regards Roy |

Country: | Hi Roy Sorry if I inconvenienced you last night I went to bed without logging off. I hope you did not wait to long for an answer You are correct the show "ספורט מהעולם" was set to record from 01:30 to 02:00 the file "D:\Video\TV\ספורט מהעולם-2007-08-19.mpg" was not created and the only entry I have under D:\Video\TV\ it the "ספורט מהעולם-2007-08-19.xml" Thanks Jonx Hi Roy just an update on a new experiment I tried I changed the settings in the TV server setup under Recording -> Custom paths and file names to "%date%-%start%" therefore no tittles in the file name Although it's not very convenient to have recoding with no title in the file name It works Jonx Last edited by jonxm05; 2007-08-19 at 08:38.
