Default no sound on recorded show.

i am wondering why when i try to play recorded show, i cannot hear any voice/sound. Please help me.
On the LiveTV, it works fine. No problem at all. When i pause liveTV, then hit play i still have audio. it is only recorded show that has no audio. I am using Zoomplayer. [editted to add] just tried WinDVD and Cyberlink PowerDVD, I got audio on cyberlink Powerdvd but not the Windvd. So how do I get the audio to work with Zoomplayer? Thanks

Hi rickyman,

I deleted the other post you made in the TV Server section. Please do not post the same thing in multiple places, this is very bad internet manners.

There are many people may be able to help you, but you have given no informaiton at all about your set up. Please edit your first post to give the informaiton in the template that you were prompted with if you wish to get any help.

If it turns out your problem is related to TV server, then I can move this post over to there.

Regards,
Marcus.

You really need to give all the information requested. Things you may not think are neccesary are there for a reason and may provide a clue.
Read this page - MediaPortal Forum - Announcements in Forum : Get Support and follow the steps there.
And then try to give more informaiton still.

Did it always fail? Did you change something and it failed? Did it fail by itself? Is this for all channels, or just some? Even your location is a vital clue, as different countries have different standards.

You're making it very hard to try and help you. When you started the support thread, it would have prompted you for this information and you must have deleted all that to make the post. I'm about to fly home from Missouri to Melbourne in a short while, so will be out of cantact for quite some time.
Once you giv some more information, maybe someone else can help.

Are you recording in .ts format

Check in TVServer config\recording settings\recording folder.

I always use FFDshow for audio, make sure you have set codec to all supported stable types within the audio config\codecs

Forget mpeg recording as we know there are issues, but .ts works fine, if you run recorded file through gspot, does it build a graph and play.

i only can played it on PowerDVD. On Zoomplayer & WinDVD, i only can see the picture and i cannot hear the audio of it. [Editted to add] Some small progress. if I'm in MP and try and watch a recorded show, I have no audio in Zoom Player but If I uncheck 'Use external player" in MP config under Movie player, and then watch a recorded show in MP, I do have audio. ALSO, if I exit MP, start ZP and watch the .ts file I do have audio.

the second pic is when i try to play it on zoomplayer within MediaPortal
