Because I am thinking maybe when you sleep through mediaportal it sets up the wake up time etc but I guess if you sleep through the PC power button Media Portal closes and doesnt get to set the wake up timer or something? Thanks! |

Country: | Hi clone_tk422, I believe you answered your own question ![]() In order for your HTPC to wake up for the next event/recording/etc ut should put itself to sleep. If you"force" it to sleep there won't be any wake-upevent shceduled. /Peter |

| Thanks, If thats the case good to know. Just have to re-teach the wife and kids now to only put the computer to sleep using the button from the home page and not use the power button on the pc or the remote EDIT: On Second thought, is there anyway in vista to call some sort of batch file when you call for the sleep command so that it could run the sleep command that media portal uses to know it needs to wake up? Country: | Why don't you use set the PowerScheduler to shutdown when it has been idle for some time. That should solve your problem. I've got a 5 min timeout on my system. /Peter |
