I am runnig a single seat setup and the latest build of both the Server and Plugin. Whatever i do i can't get MP to enter standby unless i manually do so using the remote. I have left it in the home screen over night, but when i wake up it is still sitting on the home screen buzzing away. Same thing applies to getting MP to wake up from standby...no scheduling so far has woken up MP to start recording. I know however that XP can succesfully wake up as i have a scheduled Windows task wakes up once a night to download the latest tvguide.xml. My gut feeling is that the following entry in the logfile is what is stopping it from entering standby. It looks as if the PowerScheduler thinks that something (mouse or Keyboard) has been touched, even though it hasn't. I have also disabled access to all HID devices to bring the PC out of standby...to no avail... >> 5/7/2007 1:21:57 AM 5 PowerScheduler: User input detected at 5/7/2007 1:21:57 AM, system is attended << Is it something that i have done wrong or are there more people out there having the same problem. Please see TV.LOG attached with extensive logging enabled in both the client and server plugin. btw, if i use the TVE2 PowerScheduler plugin, it will happilly put MP into standby...but as above it won't wake up again for any scheduled recordings. Any ideas or hints are much appreciated. Cheers, Jens Last edited by jensnasholm; 2007-05-07 at 01:34. |

| Portal Tester | Are you really using latest version of TVE3? Since there have been some reverts to PS where this error shouldnt come up anymore...

Country: | Hey there... thanks for the quick reply! I am using the 14506 version, which is correctly not the latest, and i will update to the latest one tonight and give it another shot. However, i cannot find any comments in the relaleses after 14506 about any changes made to the PS...but will of course give the latest one a try first. Do you know which version the changes to PS were made? As soon as i have some more info about this i will provide an update to my test. Cheers, Jens |

Country: | Back again... Now running the latest TVE3 Server and client but still have exactly the same behaviour as with the previous releases, i.e. no going to standby, nor does it wake up for a scheduled recording. It seems as the PS thinks some kind of input from something needs to keep the PC awake, see small grab from the tv.log. 5/7/2007 10:35:27 PM 5 PowerScheduler: User input detected at 5/7/2007 10:35:27 PM, system is attended 5/7/2007 10:35:27 PM 5 PowerScheduler.NextWakeupTime: inspecting handler:GenericWakeupHandler time:12/31/9999 11:59:59 PM The weird thing is that this user input is coming almost every 30 seconds, which is also the check time. Please see more details in the attached tv.log. Any thoughts or ideas around this would be great!! If there is anyone out there succesfully using this, please let me know what you have done to get this wokring...cos i am running out of ideas. | I never really got powerscheduler working with TV Engine either... it put my PC into standby no probslems but didn't want to wake it up! I just use mediaportal + svn now... powerscheduler never fails me there. Have you tried ticking the "extensive logging" boxes in the TV engine and powerscheduler client plugin setups? This worked for me once. |

| Portal Tester | Ok, user input detected. That should be something about dero's changes/additions to PS then. I will try to get him and lead him to this thread.

Country: | Hi There again, Still the same problem where PS thinks something is attending the system and seems to be disallowing the PC going to suspend (S3). JayRock - I have now dumped the SQL DB and had MP generate a new DB and the following entries can be found in relation to the PS. Are they correct? PowerSchedulerExtensiveLogging True PowerSchedulerShutdownActive True PowerSchedulerWakeupActive True PowerSchedulerForceShutdown False PowerSchedulerReinitializeController False PowerSchedulerCommand PowerSchedulerIdleTimeout 5 PowerSchedulerPreWakeupTime 0 PowerSchedulerPreNoShutdownTime 0 PowerSchedulerCheckInterval 0 PowerSchedulerShutdownMode 0 PowerSchedulerProcesses SetupTv, Configuration Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated. Cheers, Jens |
