Country: | MediaPortal Version: SVN 1. TV Card: Hauppauge WINTV HVR900 (DVB-T) I got a crash and my SQL Server Express installation went bad. I reinstalled it (remove and the install) which gave me the "Failed to open database" error from TV Server setup. Now I have uninstalled TV Server Setup and installed it again. I got the question about what DB i'm running and what credentials to use. But still I'm getting the "Failed to open database" error. What can I do? |

when installing it again into the same folder, you can not create a db with the same name as the old one. because the olf files are still there ![]() so its required to delete the old MS-SQL-db files first

Country: | I think we posted at the same second in the thread above. My reply re: the files was probably not there when chenk added his post. Anyway, thanks to both of you. |
