Default Recording filenames

It seems like the TV server has the ability to create custom filenames, but it doesn't look like some of the variables are populating. Most notably, %name% (episode name) never seems to provide any info.

Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

Thanks,
Kevin

AFAIK this will only happen if it's in the EPG data correctly.

The info doesn't display in the MP EPG, but I know it's in the xmltv file since I am using the same file in other apps with success.

Just a quick note, the %name% feature in TVEngine 3 is commented out. I needed to recompile it from source in order to get this feature back in.

Is it implemented in the current SVN? If so, I can re-install.

Sorry, no. Prior to my updating my copy from source, I wrote a vbscript that will rename the files using a pattern and update the TVEngine3 database. Do you want that?

Sure, I'll give it a try. What info does the script use to rename the file, and what is the filename format?

Thanks,
Kevin

Will %name% be making a comeback soon? I miss it!
