Question Server SVN Version that Works

Hi Guys.

Today i installed the TV-Server 3 with the following SVN: tvengine3-03-07-2007--01-12h--Rev13259.zip

My Client works with
MediaPortal-svn--03-07-2007--10-11-Rev13260.exe

The Installation itself was easy, but i get no tv picture on my client and only stuttering sound. I know that theese facs are too less and too unspecific.

Could somebody told me a svn version thats definitly works ?
I dont want to try all the last svn Version.

Many thx

Florian

The TVServer and Client plugin must be the same version.

Question

Thanks for this Info, but It changes nothing.

Its realy strange. On both PCs i have a cpu load less then 30%
They are Connected with a 100Mbit Network
The Server is a AMD Athlon XP2000+ with 512MB Ram. The DVBS is a SkyStar2 with the 4.3.2 Driver

The Client is a AMD Athlon XP2200+ with a 1GB Ram
Both Firewalls are disabled

With the DVBViewer, which came with my SkyStar 2, the MutliCast Streaming of the DVB-S Signal works without Problems. I Can View with VLC Player the Stream from every client, even through my WLAN.

Do you habe any suggestions ?

thanks for infos

Florian

PS: Could I disable the Timeshifting function ?

basically every version of the TV- Server works, at least in some form. You must have a setting somewhere messed up. It's a bit tricky to get TV-Server up and working properly

@crawdaddy

I think you are right. BUT. The Question is what exactly doesnt work.
Let exclude some error sources:

*It couldn't be the physical network - 100 Mbit With a Switch should be fast enough. And as i said: With DVBViewer Multicast Stream it works

*It couldn't be the SQL 2005 Server - It only save the Configuration

So we have the following sources of problems and errors.

*Missing Updates / Patches of the both Operating System ( In my case both XP SP2 )
*Old or Wrong Driver for the DVB-S Card
*Bugs / Errors in the MediaPortal Software
*Disabled Firewalls which are nevertheless affect the network traffic
*Perhaps old / bad Video Driver on the Client
*Wrong Configuration of the Media Portal Server. I think you cannot false configure the Client
*Last but not least perhaps a weak satalite signal? I have 70% Strengh. But with the normal Version of MediaPortal it works perfect, with no problems.

Perhaps you can say something to the listed points above.

Many Thanks

Florian

Looking at the relevant log files will probably be more informative.

just install the BDA drivers for your card - the tvservice itself is quite stable now..

Have you run the Tv server management console on the server and looked through the tabs ?

Have you scanned for channels for your TV cards?

Your error log shows there is no tuner lock for channel.

card: Tuner locked:False signal strength:0 signal quality:0 (this is the problem)

The main log shows that the server is actioning recording and streaming ok

Ensure you have the most up to date BDA drivers for your tuner cards.

Download there beta drivers - the BDA typed drivers are another subdirectory of them. You have to install them manually via device manager. Do not forget to reboot after this.
