Default TV server - client help!

Hi!
I'm using MP tv server on (Intel 9300, 4 gb RAM, Asus 9600 GT, Hauppage pvr 5oo, Xi-fi Remote) my main computer, and everything goes fine. I've installed MP client on my second one (Intel Dual Core Duo, @ gb ram, Nvidia 8600 GT, no remote) and having problem receiving TV channels.
When I go to My TV resends me to setting Tv server or IP address, OK. After I put my TV server name nothing happens. No channels. ( My lan network (both computers are connected on Linksys WRT54GL router)is OK, works fine with everything else). I've read on some posts about enabling SQL server on TV server machine, I've try to enable but and receive a message "Windows can start this service on your local machine..."
So, can anybody help me to connect client TV on Tv server. I've read some posts on this issue even watch some video from documentation but... cant help myself. I have a feeling that I'm missing something very simple and important too. I'm newbie in MP, migrate from KMplayer. I have problem, also, accessing video files from client machine to server. I can see folder names of my movies but folders appears like empty.

P.S.
MP is starting on the client machine veeery slow.

My System

Default

I'm getting the exact same problems - not that it's any help.

I'm running TV Server v 1.0.0.0 RC1 Refresh as a 'Single-Seat' on a Vista system with a Hauppauge 2200 Tuner and running MediaPortal v 1.0.0.0 RC1 Refresh as a 'Client' on an XP system. TV runs fine on the 'Single-Seat' system but the XP system seems to have difficulty communicating with the Vista system. It seems to get to the stage of 'Loading Windows Plug-ins' and then takes forever to bring up its Home Screen. I have no problem communicating between the two systems using Windows explorer.

My System

fixed

Im another one. Ive got RC2 running nicely on my single seat HTPC and have just installed the client on my laptop and I cant get anything going. The config takes about 5 minutes to close and when I select My TV on the client I have to wait another 5 minutes to only get the tv settings screen.

What are we doing wrong ?

[edit]
Solved it for me

I could see in the logs that it wasnt connecting to the SQLServer and I found this TV-Server/Configuration/SQL-Server - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation which said my server was only allowing connections from localhost and not tcp/ip.

Made the recommended changes and restrarted the service and all done...tv on my laptop with HD tv on my HTPC
