TVE3 FireDTV/S Unable to start timshifting / unable

Hi MP,

TV wont stream for me with vista, mp, tve3, firedtv/s .. i have a happauge dtv usb which streams fine, but the firedtv wont .. i get the error "unable to start timeshifting, failed to create graph"

forgot to add, the friedtv works fine with the firedtv viewer .. can pickup all the channels and view them etc .. cheers ..

which part of the guideline are you on about ?

1. I am not sure if this is a defect
2. My drivers are up to date
3. The codecs work for the happague card
4. There is 1 other recent thread with similar issues and no response/feedback
5. There does not look like a similar defect in the bug tracker

I would like to help to fix this issue, please help me to help you.

I have updated my usercp, here are the useful bits ..

Satelite/CableTV Provider: Astra 28.2E 2A/2B/2D

I found a few issues that were similar, related to standby mode ans TSWriter.ax which should have been resolved by the revision of TVE and MP I have running. There are a few other recent threads similar to my issue with no feedback as of yet .. is this a defect ? should I raise a bugtrack ? any help greatly appreciated ..

no pmt ? is this normal ? is this the issue ? where does the pmt come from ? is it a problem with the stored channel attributes or the TSWriter.ax ?

Any takers ?

Your not being ignored btw, it's just all the team are involved in MP1 forthcoming release.

Trying to get someone, who specifically uses a floppydtv\s to find out why you are not getting a signal recognised atm.

mky21 - No PMT received is an indication of an error. I have a FloppyDTV -S/CI and can add the following comments:

1. When my card hangs/is misconfigured I see a signal and quality strength of 100.. I think this is like a bad return status.. and not actually an indication of a perfect signal..

2. I generally get no PMT received for a period on encrypted channels.. it takes MP a while to get the CAM and smartcard to decode the signal (few seconds).

I would suggest you carefully look into your LNB settings as they are country and equipment specific.. if you stuff them up you will see the problem you're encountering.
