of course it will. I have no CAM at all and MP/TV-Server works fine.

I have pulled out the TRex CAM from the CI slot on the FireDTV, removed TVE and Client, Dropped the TVLibrary Schema from MySql, rebooted, installed TVE and Client, scanned for channels, deleted scramledb, saved config, fired up MPTVClient, selected unencrypted channel, got TimeShift Error, opened My TV in MP, selected unencrypted channel got TimeShift error .. i have attached the logs below.

Chemelli, do you use a firedtv/s ? or a floppydtv/s ? what TVE and MP version are you running etc ?

Hello there,

Not sure it will help you, but I have had an exactly similar problem but with a DVB-C floppyDTV tuner. FireDTV and DVB viewer work fine, MP hangs with a "no video/audio detected", or "could not start timeshifting, the channel is scrambled", etc...

There is something about the way the FireDTV handles the decryption through the CAM that is different from the way MP does it. Do not ask for details, someone posted about rotating encryption keys... I don't know.

Anyway a new Conax CAM (Technisat) fixed it, no problems at all since then.

All tested TVE/MP SVN since long time are working for me...

Is it going to be something with the Astra 28.2E setup then ? maybe my FireDTV/S is broken .. but, I say that and it works with FireDTV viewer CAM in and CAM out of the CI ..

Take into account that on 13°E Hotbird, my sat, there is no HD free stuff...

Not sure that does NDS, only the TRex Dragon 4.6 works with SKY UK I think ..

Hi Again all .. I thought I would remove everything and start again .. removed all traces of MP and TVE and reinstalled .. same issue .. bummer .. latest logs attached ..

Anyone know where we go from here ?

want me to run some debug code ? tracing ?

Here I have FIREDTV-S2 with CAM (Astoncrypt) pointed to Astra 19,2. Canalsat an encrypted channel service from france and it works very nicely.
I used Firmware 1,02,4 and drivers 4.5.
CHeck at digital-everywhere. Maybe for your service it needs an updated firmware. Otherwise contact them even it sounds like a mediaportal issue becaus ethey may be capable of providing a fix by driver or firmware.
