Hey

I am used to the Vista mediacenter but want to give this a try because of the great server/client and sharing tuner possibilities and the fact that it is open source and have some great features..

I have insstalled the TV server and Client on the same PC (described above) running SQL Server 2005. Screen resolution 1024x768 at 60 HZ.

The the TV works great in Vista Mediacenter. IT starts in 1-2seconds and channel change the same, but I have tried the MediaPortal on XP SP3 and Vista SP1, but I have big problems with the TV part. When I turn the TV on it takes about 10 seconds and then there is a TV picture, but it is impossible to watch, it does not run smoothly it is like slow motion though it is al little better with the new graphic card.. I have tried the MPV, MS MPEG 2 and som cyberlink codecs, but no difference between them at all. I thought the TV card was doing the decoding?

I have now made an image of both XP SP3 and Vista SP1 with ll drivers except Graphic and TV-tuner driver. I have done this so I can do some tests with driver and codecs if you guys would be so kind to suggest som codecs, drivers tweaks?.

I have changed the Graphic card from an old Geforce5700 FX to Sapphire Radeon 2600HD and it made a little difference.
Is it a MP problem/bug or some compatibility issue or just my system specs to old?

Could you please help me with advice about TV codecs (MPEG2?), gfx driver and TV tuner driver/software.

2.The second problem occured when I scanned the channels. Many of the names are just the channel number or something weird. Could this be fixed? Or do I have to manually change the names of the channels and how do I solve this problem?

I have tried the 4 system updates that you guys made and also tried to disable antivirus etc. The CPU load i at about 10-15 percent when idle.

I have attached some of the log files do you need more?

File Type: rar Client mediaportal log.rar (18.0 KB, 0 views)
