The same problem i have on Sex View and on some Viasat channels. Any sugesstions what codec i should use? Aslo i noticed on some codecs codec stretch my video to format 16:9 i guess.. i want to decide with format from media portal menu... there is always "normal"... Maybe |

Country: | Hello, i have the same problem with several channels with my FloppyDTV S2. The TV freezes after the first frame. I've posted my logs in the bug reports session for the MediaPortal. It've also seen strange comments in the logs, like "the graph doesn't need to be rebuilded","graph stop". It may be a start point for the MP developers. Have you solved the problem on your HTPC? |

Country: | This is a re-post. The same problem was also reported in a different thread. I am seeing the exact same problem. I always get the first video frame (distorded, only half height) and then nothing. Audio plays normally. Some more info; * I get this effect with TV Server Config Preview option as well as via TV Client. * While this happens, I see memory use shooting up rapidly. From 0.5Gb to 1.5Gb in seconds. * Memory gets reclaimed when I close the preview window (or when TV Service crashes) * When looking at the timeshift buffer file, things seem intact. I can play the file with e.g. MediaPlayer. No distortions. It's just sending the content to the viewer that does not seem to work. It is as if the streamserver is unable to send the frames to the client for some reason, and starts buffering them all in memory. I looked at logs, but did not see any error messages that could hint at the problem. | This also seem to be my problem, freezing picture when i change to viasat sport 2 and 3. I do not have this problem with other channals. I´ve tried to change the audio and video codec but no success... The attached logs may hopefully help the debugging. Country: | Hello, the problem has been resolved for me with the latest svn build (thanks to the developer who has solved this issue) I had to set the audio codec to dscaler. Then it is started to work normally. |

Country: | I had the same issue - reinstall MP and everything is OK, but once I got it all configured the way I want it, HDTV freezes after the first frame but audio is fine. I figured out that using AC3Filter along with CoreAVC causes this. Using either ffdshow or MPA decoder works fine. Hope this helps. Last edited by pharaohamps; 2008-09-04 at 20:36. |

| Thanks for the tips to use descaler audio codec, but it did unfortunately only solved the problem partially! This is the problem; The sound level drops radically when i get to the viasat sport 2 & 3 while randomly zapping between channels. The strange thing is that when i open the timeshift ts-stream afterwards in VLC media player everything looks OK with the same sound level all channels including viasat sport 2 & 3. As i mentioned earlier the Intervideo codec gave freezing picture on first frame instead, now i noticed that the ts-stream was fine in VLC eventhough the MP picture frooze. Anyone got a clue how to solve the sound issue? I have updated to RC2 and uses the latest svn. Thanks in advance |

| hi! sorry that i pick up this old thread, but i think it's better than start a new one ;D i have exactly the same problem (especially with sexview channels) with rc3 + new svn (older versions also). i tried following: mpa decoder filter: freeze at first frame ffdshow audio decoder: freeze after first frame cyberlink audio decode: works! (but i think it's not a good decoder for me, because it's quietly) cyberlink audio decoder: freeze after first frame cyberlink audio decoder (UPnP) freeze after first frame microsoft mpeg-1/dd audio decoder: works! (but in some hd channels i have no sound, so no alternative has anyone a solution? thanks! |
