WebEPG Config & TV Server .3

Hi All,

I've set up my tuner cards and channels through the TV server and all works fine in MP.

But now, when I run WebEPG-conf.exe and click "Import" as per the user guide, I get no channels coming through.

Do I need to do something special because I am using TV Server .3 instead of the old engine?

Hi Lomax

At the moment "Import" only works under the old TV engine, not TV Server. You have to add the channels manually (making sure you get the names correct).

After you have done this and saved it it is a good idea to take a copy of the "WebEPG.bak", "WebEPG.xml" and "WebEPG.xml.bak" files as I believe these (probably just one of these) holds all the details of the channels you have just manually added. They are found in the WebEPG directory. If you then delete the MediaPortal files for any reason, such as a clean reinstall, you can copy these files back and WebEPG will have all your settings again.

Remember also in TV Server in plugins to point the XmlTV plugin to the XMLTV folder in the MediaPortal directory as this is where TVguide.xml is created.

Any updates about this issue?
Manually adding the channels is not that much work, but they do have to be spelled 100% like I guess...

Perhaps the "export.xml" that can be created in TVE2 Setup can be used for importing channel names?
