Default Hauppauge Nova-S PLUS and Dvb-s2?

Is it true what the "supported tvcards wiki" says, that Hauppauge Nova-S PLUS card supports dvb-s2?

that entry in the wiki was wrong.

btw. only TV-Server will support dvb-s2.
the support for Nova-HD-S2 is not finished yet. dvb-s2 is not working atm.

I don't know if it helps, but i read in another forum, that the hauppauge bda-driver for HVR-4000 and NOVA-HD-S2 needs two additional parameters for tuning. They're called "pilot symbols" (on/off) and "roll-off" (0,xx numeric value).
Without them it doesn't tune to hd-channels.
Maybe dman knows that already....

My Hauppauge WinTV HVR-4000 tunes to BBC HD Ok in TVe3. I think BBC use DVB-S at the moment rather than DVB-S2. It may be the DVB-S2 that needs additional parameters.

dvb-s2 uses different modulation(s).
support for dvb-s2 has to be added manualy to the TV-Server, because M$ has not included it (as many other things too ) in the BDA-specification......

dvb-s2 part of the NOVA-HD-S2 is not supported yet (i have one here too )

I only wanted to give dman a hint, which could make it possible for him to add support for ther nova-hd-s2 (and hvr-4000).
I've read that also the hauppauge driver uses other values for 8psk modulation that documented in their own guide.
I don't know if he know's that already, so just a hint!

he is allready working on the support since quite some time.
he is also in contact with Hauppauge. The problem is that Hauppauge goes their own way in some techical aspects which are different to other manufaturers. furthermore, it seems that they have a slight issue in their drivers
