Default HAUPPAUGE WinTV PVR-500 MCE 2005

I am thinking about buying one of these. I read a few different places that this ships with XP-MCE drivers. Can anyone tell if this works on just regular XP pro? And how does it fair with MP. Dual tuners work correctly?

thanks in advance.
eric

Works perfectly with any flavour of Windows XP, the drivers are all the same too. There's a lot of us here using them, they're a great card 8)

Thanx for that info

i just registred to ask if this was a good card running Media Portal on.

Im configuring a Media PC as i write and im in the phaze of ordering all other parts becides a chassi. ( Puter Box )

If anyome cares heres the specs / parts:

Motherboard:
MSI K8NGM2-FID, nForce430+GeForce 6150, Socket-939, m-ATX,GbLAN, Firew, PCI-Ex16
Proceccor:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0GHz Socket 939, 512KB, BOXED
Memory:
TwinMOS PC3200 DDR-DIMM 1024MB Dual Pack Kit w/two matched PC3200 DDR DIMMs
PSU:
NorthQ 4001BX, ATX 400W, 120mm Blue LED Fan, 12-17dBA, 4xSATA, PCI-E, 20/24pin
HDD:
1 pcs Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 250GB IDE ATA/133 8MB 7200RPM
2 pcs Maxtor MaXLine Pro 500 500GB SATA2 16MB 7200RPM
Graphix:
PowerColor Radeon X1800XT 512MB GDDR3, PCI-Express, ViVo, Dual-DVI-I

Dual DVI so i can convert one of them to VGA and use my Scart cable to my TV and the other DVI for my Projector..

It will be nice to have the choice of outputting picture via my TV or my Proj

And Dual Tuners in the TV-card is nice too for those that want to record from one channel and wiew from another.

Soon we will upgrade to Digital Broadcasts here in Sweden / Stockholm and when that happens ( 2008 ) ive either upgraded the Puter and TV-card or i will just output the Digital TV signal via Scart into the Media PC or ill probably buys a Happauge card with dual Digital TV tuners

The future is yet not clear, but hey.. We make our own future right ?

Is anybody having the same problem:

If i use Radio (through germal cable connection) only 3-4 stations are clear to hear. All others have a pretty heavy background noice. If i use my normal transistor radio all stations are clear :-)
