Country: | Hows this for an idea? The MP team get together and come up with the perfect component list for a low cost MP Client machine. Then get in touch with someone who can provide them with a built machine including a bulk order discount. The MP team could then sell these machines much like Vista Media Center Extenders? This could be a little money spinner for the MP team and help put a little pocket money in their hands. It would need to have the following characteristics... - Low Cost (Media Center Extenders sell for NZ$400 here) - Low Power - Small Size - Silent - Hardware HD Decoding - HDMI interface - "pretty" The perfect scenario would be buying the client.... Unboxing it.... Swithing it on... Configuring MPortal and then it just works.... One advantage would be a lot of people would be running the same hardware spec for their client machines. I would be interested to see some discussion on this. |
