Default my htpc (mainboard and graphiccard needed)

Hey,

I want to renew my hardware of my computer for a htpc.

Things i want to do with my HTPC (requirements)
- using MediaPortal (TV,music,videos,recordings etc.)
- playing some games (Need for Speed for example, but mostly older games)

Here are the components:

I have:
- Radeon 9800 Pro (old, maybe any use)
- Soundcard (Creative Soundblaster Audigy 5.1)
- Networkcard (Realtek)
- Case with fans (Silverstone LC)
- DVD-Burner (LG)

I want to buy:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ EE 66€
Tagan TG330-U01 330W 34€
2GB (2er Kit) MDT 800mhz cl5 39€
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro PWM 12€

I need:
- Mainboard (heard socket 775 would be good, thought about boards like Sapphire PURE Innovation HDMI PI-AM2RS690MHD, GigaByte GA-MA69G-S3H & MSI Mainboard K9AG Neo2-Digital)
- Maybe a graphic card (if a onboard-card is too worst for my requirements)

Would be great if you would post some advices or criticism for me, because I'm not cery familiar with these hardware-things.

Thanks for every post

Greets hanoOta

P.S. Sorry for my bad english

my choice for a motherboard on the AMD platform is one with the nVidia 7050 chipset. I think Abit have a nice one.
It has built in GFX with optimisation for HD content. It's also mATX and very cheap.
If you find that the gfx isn't powerful enough for the games you play, then you can add another gfx card at a later date.

thanks macrusb

the "abit AN-M2HD" board is supporting a lot of features, but the graphic card isn't that good and the board does not have that good user-votes.

I would like to hear some more suggestions

was that a 7050 version or 7025? the 7050 is about the very best you can get for on board graphics.
Check out reviews for other manufacturers. I know AsRock has one that is very cheap. Normally I'd stay away from that brand (Asus' budget version) but their 7050 seemed to have all the right features too.
