Which Remote/IR Blaster to get?

I am building my new system and am going to be using it as a Media Center. I can't bring myself to buy a copy of XP MCE 2005 considering Vista is coming out soon. So I turned to the internet for a temporary solution. I came across MediaPortal and it looks promising.

I have a ExpressVu satellite receiver and a Hauppage 150MCE, so all I am missing is a remote control and an IR blaster. I have been searching the forums and apparently as long as I get the "MyBlaster" plugin, the standard MCE2005 remote/blaster can be used.

The MCE2005 remote/blaster combo can be had for about $40, but my question is, am I better off buying something else?
