Should I Dump My Capture Card?

Hi

I'm using the Technotrend Budget S1500 DVB-S + CI/CAM for watching Canal Digital in Finland. I have the GeForce 6600 GT videocard, and an ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard. System almost works great except for one thing.

Viewing the FTA channels is great, ZAPping takes about 0.5 seconds. When I ZAP to any encoded channels, the ZAP takes about 9 seconds.

Is it just the case that:

a) all these cards are slow for decoding channels, and I should get some external digibox, or
b) is it just that this card is no good, and there's another PCI card I could use instead, that would give me acceptable ZAPping performance, or
c) I need to do some non-standard configuration to make it work well, or
d) something else....

I've tried many combinations of MP, TV Engine, BDA drivers, etc, and the result is always the same....
