Silent/Quiet AGP card to help with x264 720p mkvs ?

Hi

I've come to the conclusion that I'm definately in need of an upgrade. At the moment the files are stuttering at around 70% in task manager. As my computer will be leaning towards media more than anything and it would be great if the card was quiet and could allieviate some of the pressure put onto the cpu. I have around £50 to spend, its about time to put the geforce2 to sleep

AMD 64 X2 4000+ CPU
1.5GB of Ram
Geforce2 gfx card

p.s. Am I likelly to get a better picture when using one of the newer cards ?

Just a quick question do you have haali media splitter installed and coreavc codec may help the performance too
