Hi, im gonna buy the following

does MediaPortal have support for this card? if it does not, will it?

Hi Terry,

Here's the list of supported TV cards, and you will notice that the Hauppauge Nova-T 500 is included. I assume that this is the same card as the one you are considering.

I confirm card works with mediaportal.
French user have one and it seems card is OK with at least SVN from 11 october.
