That's interesting. The DVB-T part of my HVR3000 doesn't even show up in MP. I wonder if it's the "can't use two DVB cards in XP" bug - I've got the patch but I can't remember if I've installed it since I rebuilt my system. There's no DVB-T where I am at the moment anyway, but it would be good be be able to use it in the future.
Oh, I'm not using TV Server either, so I wonder if that makes a difference... Rob |

I've got an HVR-3000 using MP on Windows XP and I'm not currently using the tvserver. DVB-S works fine, DVB-T and analogue are detected but both give a "cannot create graph error" when I try and set them up.
Interestingly the graph settings for the DVB-S, DVB-T and Analogue functions of this card are all already in the configuration xml file in MediaPortal, so someone must have thought it worked well enough to include them in the build. However, I haven't been able to get anything apart from the DVB-S part to work, which is a pity really as I wanted to use the FM radio functionality of the analogue tuner. I tried setting it up using tvserver instead but didn't get anywhere with that either. Its a shame as these are great value hybrid cards and it would be fantastic if they could be made to work with MediaPortal. |

Hi Philpem - is it possibly to get some details on how you got DVB-T work on the hvr 3000 with tv-engine? Which driver versions from hauppauge do you use? How did you set it up with tv-engine ?

If you install the MCE_soft_encoder from Hauppauge, the Analoge card scans the channels properly. Last edited by aschenner; 2008-01-18 at 23:25. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Hi,
After following the advice above and installing the MCE_soft_encoder from Hauppauge (downloaded from the Hauppauge website, not the one supplied on CD with the card - that was a much older version) I now have DVB-S, DVB-T and Analogue working on the HVR-3000. I have just let TV Server detect it as 3 cards and ignored the "hybrid card" settings. I'm using MediaPortal RC1 + latest SVN, TV Server + latest SVN and Windows XP SP3 and the CoreAVC decoder for high def DVB-T. cheers, Nathan |
