Default Leadtek DVR3200H HDTV Tuner Card - NO SOUND!

Hi all,

I've just bought a Leadtek HDTV TV Tuner Card and I get no sound when it's in TV Mode.

I get sound OK when the PVR2 application is in Timeshift Mode, or after I record a program, however, in live TV Mode, I get no sound!

I'm using the on-board S/PDIF port on the Motherboard. Everything else works flawlessly, just no sound in TV Mode

I'm running Windows XP. I tried connecting the 4 pin CD-ROM cable from the TV Tuner card to the CD-In on the motherboard, to no avail.

Very frustrating!

Any ideas?

Hi,
Go to setup in mediaportal and change the audio codec to the leadtek one and see if that works. I have the same TV card and it is working fine for me using the leadtek codec.

I am looking at this card for a friend who has Foxtel so will be using the analog MPEG2 encoder. Have you guys noticed any issues using the analog side of the card? Thanks

I originally got this card so I could bring selectv into mediaportal. I had no problems except I couldn't get the mediablaster to work and the kids would change the channel on me and instead of a car race from eurosport, my recording would be cartoon network! (For that reason I bought a twinhan sat card.)

I have now connected my old VCR to the analog side of the card and it is also working fine so with 2 different uses I have had no problems. Very good card in my opinion.
